I was recommended to this office by my local City MD. The receptionist was extremely unhelpful and curt with me, and refused to make an appointment without prior x-rays or documentation. I am having serious pain in my shoulder and the City MD recommended that if the pain did not go away (it hasn't), to reach out to Island Musculoskeletal Care to make an appointment. The only paperwork I had was the list of recommendations that City MD gave me. I told the receptionist that I could send this over to her, since I did not have any x-rays or any other documentation and would need a consultation anyway to diagnose what the problem was. She kept repeating that she needed x-rays or discharge papers and insisted that they must be faxed, not emailed. I do not think I will even move forward with office this based on this interaction, and from the negative reviews that I am seeing. I am literally just trying to get some help with my shoulder and they seem very unwilling to help!

The physical therapists and x-ray radiographer may be kind and welcoming but administration is terrible. They schedule appointments when the doctor isn’t even in office, put you on hold for long periods of time and then hang up the phone, and getting an MRI approved is almost impossible. It’s been almost two months and I was told that the girl in charge is running behind on sending the info to the insurance.

330pm appointment I was on time. I wqs seen by a pa about 7pm. They made me wait for hours with the intense pain I had. After my appointment when I asked the front desk how long does it take for mri approval she had an attitude.

They were so disgusting and disrespectful. They were on there phones . No wonder they have 2 stars.. place is a horrible place so dirty and horrible employees. I would find better places in the Bronx then here . Made me feel so uncomfortable.
