Had a great time, wasn't crowded, enjoyed very much.

Its the start of a park. Not advertised well. No real amenities. No bathrooms, no water faucets, no marking on the trails, no signs on the trails. Beach at the end was unkempt, with beer cans and debris. Canoe launch is difficult to use, the dock is fine, but hard to enter and exit the water with a canoe or kayak. Beach at the end of the trail was the best part.

Kayak dock was clearly visible this time. Water level dropped to normalcy and the current was good. Tried to venture to the sand banks but standing water at the entrance blocked us off. It also gave rise to swarming hungry quitos. Ida did some heavy damage to nature in there. Be cautious for the swarms and over hanging banana spiders as well.

Outstanding place to launch kayak's. If they run out of parking you can unload your yaks and park around the corner
