I’ve been here five weeks after my surgery. I can honestly tell you I am very sad for the people that must stay here and for the understaffed nursing personnel, that must come into work every day. There are only a few good nurses and CNA‘s that really care and do their work and beyond while others were hired to fill-in space and create a more stressful environment for the good nurses that make up for their laziness, I will only mention the ones that made a difference here, in that really give their heart to taking care of these patients. Doreen, Maria Curi, Eileen, Micheline, Marie-Alice, girlene, Lise! If they are understaffed like that, the social worker, and the administrator should give a hand. It some points people were waiting for attention because they needed to go to the bathroom or they needed help because they cannot help themselves and there’s just not enough hands. and the reason why I know this is because I have eyes. they are always low on supplies and laundry. I am leaving today however, I feel really bad for the people that I leave behind. I also must add that as much as the kitchen tries. They are not equipped for providing healthy food and the nutritionist came three times but I guess that information did not come across.

The care of the staff and its therapy dept are 1st class.i have needed care many times in my life,and my experience at Buckingham has been the best.if u need great personal care,Buckingham is the place!

Recovering from a fracture, I was met with compassionate, caring staff at every turn. From nursing and medical staff, CNAs, recreation staff, administration, PT and OT professionals - all not only met me where I was at in my healing process but def helped me progress along in the journey. I am glad I came to Buckingham.Addendum: want to recognize some amazing people: Nursing: Doreen who gave me a warm welcome and made sure to have a kind conversation everyday. Also Stefanie, Micheline and Ann for their kindness( Mary Alice and Mary , Meena and Aileen too for their expertise ) PT- Juan made sure to challenge me making me stronger physically and mentally, Also Chad for the encouragement, and Alana who always sought out experiences to mimic home with gusto to help me get better. I appreciated them all! Thank you
