There are many options to climb at Island Rock for your first time depending on whether you want to hire a private instructor to do the rope work for you, take a lesson, or boulder. We also offer day rates and various membership options for people who don't need an instructor. You can just climb. If it's your first time at Island rock they will check to make sure you know how do the knots and repel.
You have to be 5 years old to climb. Not sure what you mean about the complaints part
