As a part time visitor/condo owner...I was impressed with Coastal Urgent Care and with HCA Florida PC Emergency. Both were clean and service was quickly given by professional medical personnel. However, I would suggest that the person at the front desk at HCA Florida PC Emergency needs to be more receptive. He was slumped down hidden behind the large computer monitor, so that when I came in I could not see him. Nor, did he make himself known as I walked by trying to figure out where to go. When I finally did see him and asked, he sent me back behind the large doors...without any answers or checking me in. The staff sent me back out saying that I needed to check-in at reception desk first. Not sure if he was just "filling in"...but, he needs to do better.

The doctor, whose name I can't recall, was very attentive and gentle with me. I had a bad laceration to my finger that was super sore and bleeding all over the place. He talked me through everything that he was doing and made me feel at ease. The time I spent in total was a little longer than I thought it would have been for an early Tuesday evening, but I had to be seen. I would recommend.

I was very pleasantly surprised! We all know the problems with both clinics and Emergency Rooms at the hospital. It simply takes to long at a hospital and they almost ALWAYS want you to spend the night, no matter what the problem is. They take blood tests or similar and they have to wait for the results the next day. Clinics, on the other hand, are usually faster, but very limited to what they can do, so will often recommend you go to the hospital anyway. HCA was TRULY an incredible alternative to either of those. I was able to walk right in and literally have immediate care. They were obviously very well equipped with both staff and equipment and were able to prescribe antibiotics and get me on the way, so that I could pack for my flight to Branson in the morning. Absolutely perfect visit for me! Thanks!!!

The Gulf Coast ER on 231 was fantastic when I was there recently with Afib. specifically, a nurse named Sara was outstanding. She did her job so well. She did a great job of explaining everything as she did it & I felt like I was being well taken care of. I was transported downtown & admitted; The bed in my room had a huge “hole” in the mattress that really bothered my back.( I have a fusion) I had a terrible night on the bed & the next day we casually mentioned it when asked about things. The Nurse Leader named Joey immediately started searching for a different bed & found a much better one for the room. he was very proactive about everything. I really appreciate the care.
