After Hurricane Michael, the park is no longer the park that it once was. While it used to be a dog park with a large soccer field, basketball courts, a tennis court, and well-kept walking track, it is not well-kept. The soccer field is full of sand spurs and weeds and the walking track is long overgrown. It is not even a pleasant field to take your dog running around because the dogs will get sand spurs in their paw pads. While I understand that the city of Parker is still waiting for funds to properly fix this park, I still do not think it is a good park to go to due to how overgrown and unkept it is. I wish that they did basic repairs such as go over the walking track like they used to with a tractor in the meantime before it gets properly repaired. They used to take care of this park and do basic maintenance which they no longer do. This park does offer a decent playground however and one basketball hoop, so you might enjoy that if you have kids or enjoy playing basketball. Other than that, there is not much else to do anymore since the dog park, tennis courts, walking track, and soccer field got destroyed and it is not much more than an empty field full of weeds and painful sand spurs.

Yes dogs are allowed, currently there are no dog waste bag stations like there use to be, so please bring your own.
