My first time there it is a beautiful library

Such a nice library! I love the sculptures! It’s rare to see beautiful, creative public sculptures.

Been coming here for over 3 decades. Since I was 5. I want to know WHO purchases the magazines for the library? They have lgbt magazines but no Christian ones. Also a magazine on where to get abortions. Shame on You CPL. pushing an agenda where Children come to learn. Other than that…People that Work there are rude. I sit next to a few older Gentlemen who I like to listen to speak and the new Woman they have there says hello to everyone except Me. I said hello to Bruce who also works there. Another rude Individual. Full on liberal library pushing many agendas.

PAIGE PATTERSON AND HER BAND WERE WONDERFUL. REALLY ENJOYED IT AND HOPE YOU WILL HAVE HER BACK SOON.

No.
The Library sometimes offers opportunities for adults to participate in volunteer activities, which would be listed in the library newsletter, available at its web page at: www.cplib.org.
Yes! Public libraries in Suffolk County generally offer reciprocity re: borrowing from collections. Each library decides which collections (if any) may NOT be borrowed by members of other libraries. For the most part, libraries look to share the majority of their collections through direct access with all members of Suffolk County public libraries. Check with each individual library to learn its borrowing policies.
No, unfortunately they do not sell books or offer a scheduled book sale day.
Unexpected closure due to asbestos removal & new roof replacement. Check website for more info. Originally there was to be a delayed opening, but there were other issues which caused the library to be closed the entire day.
Check the website/newsletter for schedule of activities.
