I could not be happier with the result of my total hip replacement. The professionalism, concern for my health, and every aspect of the pre-surgical, surgical and post-surgical processes was excellent. The only detractor I could see improving was the lack of privacy (not visual, but auditory) in the prep-holding area on the day of surgery. Although all patient holding areas' curtains were drawn for privacy, I was able to hear all conversations and instructions people were getting through the curtains. It may not be possible to fix this in a place where space is at a premium, but it is something the hospital should know about.
