As much as I'd like to do so, I can't give them a good review. I live upstate, and the treatment of mature gays of color is not very good here. I thought SAGE NYC would be much better; unfortunately, it's not. Email inquiries take a very long time for responses, if there is one. I wanted to do some volunteer work, but I must create the project, answer a million questions, and submit a CV. I do have more than the needed education for the project I wanted to create, but I received no response to it. This is volunteer work, they should welcome anyone who wants to help for no pay.

Technically their services are for seniors/elders but I registered with them when I was I believe 43 or 44. The young lady Zareda was my contact their but she's now at the Harlem location but if you have issues with finding employment or need assistance with social service programs or whatever they may assist you. Transgendered individuals are definitely welcomed at SAGE. Good luck with your endeavors.
Yes. There's a plethora of info, programs and resources here.
Hi Joe & Maria, I would recommend just go there in person, checking the place out speaking to the people at the front desk and they will gladly address any of your questions. Going back many many years I was a volunteer at Sage when I was a teenager, now in my 60s I use the service there. It helped me a great deal in dealing with the passing of my husband, I was able to get counseling there. The other option would be just to give them a call and they will also direct you from there as well. Also if you're interested in having a meal, they also provide that for dinner as well.

Sorry, that's one course they don't offer.
September at Middle Collegiate. Exact date still to be determined
I know the one in Queens, it's sort of like an equivalent of the Manhattan sage. They holding their social dance and dinner each month, the one in June being on the 9th. It starts at 1pm & ends at 5pm, the admission is $13. If you mention that this is your first time first, you don't need to pay anything. Located at 8002 Queens Boulevard, on the second floor of the only tall black skyscraper. Take the elevated to the second floor after checking in at the front desk.
Yes and yes .
