This is my favorite branch of NYPL. The staff is so friendly. Today there were plenty of computers empty so I could do a bit of work. Also I found an Opera score & libretto that I needed. Shelves are very organized & labeled. Great place to do performing arts research.

Saturday is the performing Arts library open today Saturday
Check their website or call the local branch.
I don't think at this location. It has performing arts materials: music scores. theater etc...
Hi, the library is opened from Monday to Saturday, 10:30 am to 6 pm. Please note that the staff will start the closing procedure at around 20 minutes before 6 pm. For hours update, please visit our website: https://www.nypl.org/locations/lpa
I believe the NYPL is not accepting book donations at present, with the possible exception of rare books
Hi, it depends on which collection the item belongs to. If it is part of the circulating collection, then yes, you can check out the book using your library card. If it is part of the research collection, then it is most likely a no. You can confirm with the library staff when you use the item.
You can access our eNYPL collection through the Libby app. This page provides more information on the apps that work for our collection: https://www.nypl.org/books-music-movies/ebookcentral Some of the collections are only available for access in person. Once you find the items you need, you can check the item record on how to access them.
Yes. All Library locations offer free wireless access (Wi-Fi) in public areas at all times the libraries are open. More information here: https://www.nypl.org/help/computers-internet-and-wireless-access/wireless-internet-access
I also need to know. Also, is Amy's Bread open at the cafe?
I don't know. Call them and ask.
Yes. I have not ever done so personally but I know they have thousands of scores and the librarians are ready and willing to help you find what you're looking for.
The address is 40 Lincoln Center Plaza, between the Metropolitan Opera and Vivian Beaumont Theatre. You can also enter at 111 Amsterdam where the auditorium is, but you'll need to use the wheelchair lift to reach the restrooms and elevators.
No.
No. This a special library - specializing in performance arts. I recommend you contact the most convenient public library branch for you. Or second most, if this one is the most convenient. At minimum, THAT branch will have books to help you with your resume. And computers with software to help you print your resume.
