Holiday Inn Express Forsyth, an IHG Hotel

Rooms were tiny, and there was left over trash from previous occupant in the closet. There was no literature on anything on the hotel in our room, so we missed breakfast by 15 minutes (we were a late check in). Just made me upset because we specifically booked a Holiday Inn so our kids could have breakfast traveling home, and it feels like a waste of points when we could have stayed at a nicer hotel for just a few more points. Other than that the cleaning staff we did run into were friendly.

Positive: Convenient location: right off the highway. A nice small town nearby that provided great restaurants. Negative: The hotel hallway and room smelled of urine and vomit, and the room and bathroom needed cleaning. I wasn't even sure if the bed had clean sheets.

Very content. Coming north from FL. VERY close, but south of Atlanta. We wanted to be fresh in a.m. for that CRAZY traffic. Recently redecorated. Fresh landscaping. RIGHT off expressway. Outside pool. Looked nice. Not open for season yet. Lobby very nice. Looked like a safe area, but we’re RIGHT OFF I75. We walked next door for Mexican and margaritas. Worst Mexican and margaritas ever, but could walk there, and hot. Staff was nice.(don’t go) Not sure of other restaurants. Just pulled in and walked there. Nothing else that I saw when pulling in, but I was driving and on a mission to get out of the car!

My husband and I were dedicated Marriott Members for the last 10 years but that has changed since staying at two different Holiday Inn Express locations traveling down to Florida. They are PET FRIENDLY, clean, delicious continental breakfast & the staff is so professional! We greatly enjoyed our stay and gladly give 5 stars.
