I'm becoming more disappointed with Walgreens pharmacy hours. I know help is hard to come by. But closing at 6:00 p.m. and not open on the weekends makes it very difficult for people who work to get to the pharmacy.

My son had a allergic medical emergency at 9:55 PM the day before a holiday and I called the McKnight Rd./Seibert Walgreens to see if I could get the medication he needed, fully expecting them to say they were closed, as they closed at 10. The two gentlemen who were closing made an exception for me and stayed open till I could get there (10:08 PM). I was so grateful for their kindness. They saved me from the worry of having to make a midnight trip to the ER! On another occasion I had come to pick up a photo order I had placed but the order was still printing and would still take another 20 min to finish. (The same 2 gentleman were working.) To make up for their missed deadline, they gave me a nice discount on my order. This was unexpected and also very appreciated. I don’t know their names, but their service was so impressive to me, that I will be shopping at that store much more often. These two gentlemen are a rare find in retail service and should be recognized!

Really mismanaged location.

I just found out--only by stopping in at the store--that the pharmacy is now closed on Saturday and Sunday. Needed to pick up a critical refill that is to be started today, but I'm now in a real quandary. Why couldn't the pharmacy have left a message on their repeat customers' phones that the pharmacy hours have changed? This is a serious issue for those of us who rely on Walgreens pharmacy to stay healthy--maybe, even in some cases, to stay alive. Bad news.

Because it is Walgreens , not Wallgreens.
Market district in wexford.
Employee and insurance costs.combined with the need for multiple sets of employees to avoid paying overtime..also periods of low customer traffic are great opportunities for theft. Keeping employees who will work at undesirable times (nights and weekends) will cost more as well as creating turnover. It’s a matter of competition and profitability.
