For either musicians or music lovers of all kinds, this factory maybe one of the ultimate point of worship on earth. I was (fortunately) invited to visit Steinway with my life time best friend, a Julliard grad concert pianist. We were welcomed, and received with professionalism and pleasantry. Sales staffs were well knowledge on the needs of a professional pianist and took time to educate me, a classical piano music lover. Small factory with amazing people and amount of works put into making a piano. Just amazing to see from a simple piece of wood selection into a full grand concert piano. You'll need half a day as a visitor or perhaps a full day as a buyer to sock yourself into the marvelous factory.

Hello Jay, you can visit our Factory's used piano inventory website at http://used.steinway.com. We are also currently having a sale on Music Festival Pianos which include gently used inventory that is available in our retail showrooms. You can contact our NYC showroom at 212-246-1100 or Long Island showroom at 631-424-0525 to make an appointment for this sale which ends July 31.
Anybody could apply for a job at Steinway & sons all they have to do is come over and get a application, you don't need no skills they train you here. but if you know how to play a piano or have skills in Wood making you'll be better off. When I started working and I didn't know anything about pianos. Good luck.
I would recommend not less than 13-14.
