Questions & Answers

Hi ! We just got a 13 month old puppy and we were searching for obedience classes. Not just for the puppy, but for us. Can you point us in a direction for a series of weekly classes that can give us a good foundation for helping our puppy. Thanks

Polite Pooch 1 is our beginner manner class. It is open enrollment, so it runs continuously with 5 class time options each week

Do you train dogs to be service dogs? I have my own puppy, but where I work they won't let me in with just a Therapy Vest on. Looking to start very soon. Thank you

Please contact us via our main website contact form. www.headoftheclassdogtrainingllc.com We do COACH owners to train their own service dogs, depending on the issues and temperament of the dog.It will take a year or more to get to service dog status, especially if the dog is a puppy. I suggest starting with puppy classes if the puppy is under 5 month, or basic manners classes if it is 5 months or older. This is the first step to service dog training anyway.

We cannot house train our dog. We take her outside to go to the bathroom 3 or 4 times a day and she still poops and pees in the house. We have tried everything. We don't know what else to do.

Behavior problems are complicated. A consultation is warranted to determine the underlying factors. Schedule a veterinary visit to make sure there are no medical problems contributing to this issue, then schedule a behavioral consultation to address proper training. A consultation can be scheduled online on our website.
