Drs. Jane Fuhrman and Park Haverstick both have taken really terrific care of my dogs for decades…. Even the brat I nicknamed Mr. Grumpy Britches… I’m glad out of the 3 I have now, he’s the only “problem child” and the other 2 are easy….both vets are easy going and take the time to answer all your questions…. PS…. If you know how to bake seasoned pretzels to show your appreciation, their faces will light up (I took in one for each vet and 2 for the staff)…

At first , my experience with Dr Furman was ok. My sickly cat was losing weight fast, but still eating. I got in for an appointment fast, which I was happy about. Bloodwork panel was done and I paid the bill. Results came back that my cat had liver and possibly other internal problems, serious ones. Dr Furman said the next step would be an ultrasound, which cannot be done there. After a few phone calls, I found out that I had to go to a clinic that was affiliated with a traveling doctor who brings his ultrasound equipment with him to affiliated clinics. So I took my kitty to Bernville Veterinary clinic and had to have another examination before getting the ultrasound scheduled. They had gotten my kittys records from Meyerstown, but it did not include the bloodwork results, which were the most important information. My kitty was going downhill fast. Bernville talked to Dr Furman asking for the bloodwork results and Dr Furman said that I was not in the system, she didn’t know me although I had been there 7 days ago and spoke to her on the phone 5 days ago. Very rudely, she had no intention of cooperating, although she told me herself I had to go elsewhere for further diagnostics for my cat. No bloodwork results were given. We finally decided to euthanize instead of having an ultrasound done because his prognosis was not good. No thanks to Dr Furman.

Helpful staff but I was charged $95.00 for 1 rabies shot and to have the vet glance over my puppy. I had no idea it would be that expensive!
