This is an amazing store! It’s about 45 minutes from my house and that is probably for the best! They have a really balanced selection of fabrics ranging from batiks to solids but also plenty of blenders and fun colorful prints. From the description I was expecting lots of wild eccentric fabrics (which were there) but was happy to find a huge variety of other fabrics. The little corners of different textures and add ons for mixed media and fiber arts were so fun to comb through. The variety of beads and ribbons and ephemera were so wonderfully curated that there really is something for everyone. I was also happy to see a corner dedicated to gelli printing and paints, they really cover it all here. Judy was really friendly and her niece who cut my fabric was also very personable, like everyone else in the shop. I felt very welcome and will definitely keep shopping from Artistic Artifacts!

Loved the store and all it has to offer. This was my first time there. Not to pleased with their method of pricing fabric. Price on bolt of fab of is for 1/2 yard instead of per yard. I purchased 3 yards at what I thought would be roughly $18.00 Instead it was $36.00. The young lady offered to recut 1/2 yards after perhaps noticing my expression and comment. She said they used to do mail order. But if you're no longer doing mail order why not give full pricing. If seem to me that it is to confuse customers (like me) and somewhat bait them into keeping the whole yard of fabric.

We have a large surface lot and an entrance that is handicap accessible.
Yes the closest Metro stop is Van Dorn about a 1 mile walk. I think it is the blue line. Judy
