It's incredibly difficult to work with the BIA. Even in terms of government agencies this the singular worst government organisation to deal with. You can never get anyone on the phone no matter which office you call. Beyond that the Indians who live on reservations live in abject poverty and are entirely hopeless. I hope a senator or representative reads this and will have the guts to sponsor legislation abolishing the BIA. It never helped an Indian anywhere.
