Having lunch here w my hubs and Dad right now before showing my Dad the property. Very large menu with gluten free options! The food is so yummy, and the service is fantastic! So friendly! We ordered the walleye fish tacos, ahi poke tower, and chicken salad w dates and cranberries. Everything is delicious. Definitely get some fresh juice and buy some dates! Great stop in the valley.

The best date shakes in the desert! They offer vanilla and "coffee" which doesn't taste like coffee at all in my opinion (it is more like chocolate). I also love to pick up a bag of their date crystals so I can make my own date shakes. Their gift shop has a large variety of dates/gift packs. We did not eat in the cafe but from the looks of how packed the parking lot always is I would venture to say it must be good. They also offer a decent military discount so make sure to ask and show your ID!

Visited this place last week. Their products are overpriced and not fresh/good quality. The royal medjools box dates had some liquid at the bottom and they had a funny smell. When we we scrolling through the store, I saw something like a maggot on top of dates box. Pointed it to the lady at the store and they took the box inside. I

Step back in time.  Unique and interesting tourist stop. The front store was built in the 1950. Giant Shield knight road side sign built in 1953. Wonderful sense of tradition. Best dates shake and dates ice cream. Shakes are made with dated crystal. Very unique and you can taste the difference. We enjoy garden stroll with our shakes. Kids will enjoy exploring gardens by themselves. Benches throughout the gardens. Large parking lot. The gift/souvenir shop is huge but not well stock on our visit Jan 07, 2022.  Suppy shortage. Clean restroom. There is small old theater showing a film about Shields Dates and the history.  If you don't have time view the film " Romance of Dates" is available on youtube.
