DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!! Takoma towers have been the most disgusting and unsafe place I have ever stayed in. If i could give 0 stars i would! Not only do they have roaches, they also have mice. There is also a leak every month in the building on all floors during the winter. (It takes months for them to fix the heaters during the winter and longer to fox the AC during the summer) The elevators are always broken which means forced cardio for the residents. Elderly people and handicaps can't even live here at all. Recently, they demanded that the residents pay for parking every month at the price of 20$-$100 and charge for a guest parking pass 20$ with an extra $7 every night the car stays in the parking lot! You would think that with that much money the landlord would hire security to make sure that our cars are safe! But no, my car tags were stolen from my parking spot and there were other cars that got their windows broken, tires stolen, car scratched/ smashed/ hit. In case you wondering what about the cameras (well there isn't any working cameras, they are there for show). There are homeless people sleeping in the stairs, laundry rooms and hallways! If you work and come home late or if you are a single female with a child, know that YOU WILL HAVE NO SECURITY anyone have access to the building! All these new rules happen during the pandemic when most Americans couldn't afford rent. They preyed on their residents to make money during these trying times. My family and I have been living here for years, so we thought they would understand our difficulties since we have never been delinquent with paying our rent!!!! Instead the rental office would be rude to us and told us many time that they could not help us. They threaten to put us multiple times and when we asked for living assistance we were denied. There is so much more i can add! Again do not live here!!! In addition the Pool is never clean and they expect people to swim in dirt
