Excellent way of getting your tags immediately instead of waiting for the DMV to send them via snail mail. There is a small fee for using a debit/credit card. No fee for cash. However you do have to feed the cash into the machine, so make sure you have exact amount. Furthermore make sure you bring your renewal notice with you, the ability to scan the barcode on the renewal notice make this a hassle free process.

I went by on Wednesday and the clerk said if you get there at 6am you can be out by 9am. If you go at 730am just plan to be there 3-4 hours. She said not to even bother getting in line after 3pm.
