We absolutely love living here! The location is amazing and the office staff has been nothing but helpful since the very beginning of us moving in! Special shout outs to Yasmin as she always answers any questions I have. The amenities are awesome and I especially love how spacious our apt is even though it is just a one bedroom. Definitely give this place a tour even if you are unsure!!

Constant alarm going off. Paper thin walls. Smells like weed all the time. Garage gate is always broken. Also, I gave them over 50 days notice of moving out but they said that they need to charge me for the 10 days I didn't give notice to fulfill the 60 day notice. What place requires 60 days notice?? 30 is sufficient. And they are charging me for a hire month to month price. Ridiculous. Expensive and def not worth the price of rent!!

As a tenant of the Metropolitan over the past 2 years, I felt it necessary to update my review of the property to shed some light on how things have changed as I have been here. As my original review stated, my first year living here was superb. While moving during a pandemic was difficult in 2020, the management at the Met did an excellent job showing the community off virtually, and had competitive rates for Howard county. Upon moving in, the quality of the building and amenities matched the price tag of the unit, not to mention the management was quick to fix issues and communicate accordingly. Unfortunately, about 1 year ago management at the Met has turned over, and things have started to deteriorate. While it is true that rent has gone up (it is going up everywhere, you can’t avoid inflation), the price tag for the quality of the unit and associated amenities & services no longer lines up. Since I am only allowed to use so many words, I will lay out a select set of issues the Met now has. 1) Each floor now has constant water pressure problems, so there is a good chance at least 2-5 times a month you will not be able to take a shower until they fix the problem. 2) Ceilings are beginning to leak, in my unit the leak is coming from the patio doors and the living room. I have contacted maintenance multiple times, and the problem has never been fixed and continues to get worse. 3)Constant construction over the past year has not only made it nearly impossible to work from home, but once portions of it were complete on my patio (after being 4 months late) it was left a complete mess with nails everywhere. 4)The parking garage gate has been broken for close to a year, causing my car to be at risk of being broken into. While it was very recently fixed, it is only a matter of time before it breaks again. 5) Significant amounts of amenities are either no longer available or do not function (for example, the grills outside which management insists works with a lighter – even though it doesn’t, the TVs in the workout room, the mats in the workout room, the WiFi in the lobby/business center, the lobby coffee machine, the package room, extremely dirty carpeting throughout the halls, and dim lighting in the halls due to bulbs burnt out for over 5 months). 6) The overall customer service from management is at an all-time low. One example, I would expect calling the front office at multiple points during business hours I would be able to connect with a representative, but in the past year I have been forced to go down in person to the leasing office to speak with someone because my calls go unanswered. Another example, multiple external doors on my floor have been broken for at least the past year, but instead of fixing the issue management has simply told us it was “our responsibility to ensure the door remains closed.” If the door is broken, how are we supposed to close these doors? In conclusion, living in this part of Howard County the rent is going to be high, but with that price tag comes the expectation for a well-kept apartment, speedy maintenance requests, and access to the appropriate amenities and services you are paying for. While true in the past, the Met no longer provides these elements for the price tag it comes with. Especially considering its newer competition downtown, I would suggest looking elsewhere to find your next apartment.

There are several factors that affect the price such as lease length, number of beds & baths, and the time of year, but currently these apartments are in the $1600 - $3000 per month range.
