The fruit is good, but all the vendors are the same for that. A lot of overpriced stuff. The lemonade is the best I've ever had, and there is a juice made with purple corn that is extremely good. There are sometime activities for kids, so it is free fun for the kids.

Saturday mornings, tents go up around Hurkamp Park, for locally grown produce, unique crafts, and assorted goods. Shoutout to three vendors I met on Saturday, July 4th weekend learned part of their story: 1. The Healing Face, natural skincare products. 2. Mark Parmelee, Artist - watercolor originals. 3. Gracebabyco: pacifier clips, teethers , and keychains.

The best looking produce I have ever seen! This farmers market is awesome, with tons of vendors and the beautiful scenery of downtown Fxbg. This is just a short walk to Maury park, and an even shorter walk to some delicious restaurants. Come in the morning to get the best flowers and produce. ❤️

Hello, Ellen! GREAT question. Customers with an EBT card through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) may use it to buy tokens at the market. These tokens are BLUE and may be used on eligible foods, such as: fruits, vegetables, meats, breads, dairy, honey, plants, etc. Additionally, our market is part of a Virginia Fresh Match nutrition incentive program, thanks to Virginia Community Food Connections. This allows us to match the tokens of SNAP customers. These tokens are RED and may be used on fruits, vegetables, and plants ONLY. For every $1 BLUE SNAP EBT token bought, we give a $1 RED Virginia Fresh Match, up to $30 per week! For example, if a SNAP customer buys $30 in SNAP EBT tokens, additionally they receive $30 in Virginia Fresh Match tokens! However, if they buy $40 in SNAP EBT tokens, they will still only receive $30 in Virginia Fresh Match, because that is the maximum each week.
