TLDR 2/5; great people (staff and community), spacious apartments, great maintenance and leasing team, poor upkeep and management. Great neighbors, great staff, great maintenance. Everyone I've met within the Camden Fair Lakes community has been a pleasure to talk with and get to know over the years. However, the past few years this community's standards have lowered. Live at another Camden for the time being. Everyone I've met including myself planned to live here for years to come, including residents who have been here for multiple leases. The location is fantastic, apartments are spacious, and everyone I've met is friendly (staff included). However, the past two years there appears to be more of a "deal with it" attitude adopted recognized by residents in multiple buildings across the community. On the public community message board there are daily-weekly complaints about packages being stolen, owners not picking up after their pets, non-resident individuals causing disturbances, and messy community areas (this gets taken care of in a reasonable time though). When any of these issues are brought up the typical response from the leasing staff or management team is "sorry please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with". They don't mention they're going to fix it or the larger issue being worked on. People reached out to the community about the problems I mentioned and they were told that these are just problems people have to live with. Packages being stolen? Sorry. The elevator smells like vomit? Sorry. People blasting music at the pool? Sorry. It's true these things do happen but that doesn't mean nothing has to be done. We asked to install our own door cameras to catch who is stealing our packages but that's against our lease agreement. There are definitely actions that the community can take to make this a better place to live but it's currently the resident's responsibility and loss. No ownership by the management team. Overall though, with the apartment itself and great people met throughout my time at Camden I'd give it a 2/5 for now. Maybe if the team steps up it would be a 4/5 or 5/5 but it's not there.

Camden Fair Lakes has an amazing maintenance team. Every single team member is always helpful, friendly, and responsive. I've lived in several different complexes, but I've never met a team that was so caring. I want to give a shout-out to Hakim for his exceptional service. He was so helpful and responsive during my AC repair. It was not an easy process, but he was so helpful throughout the entire process. He also called me to give me updates which I really appreciated. Thank you so much!
