Due to the latest COVID-19 surge, most outpatient appointments are being converted to phone or video visits. If you still do have a face-to-face appointment, your spouse can come with you, but will need to wait in the waiting area during your actual appointment with the provider. Please remember that face masks are to be worn at all times while in any of our health care facilities. Thank you. VA Maryland Health Care System
Mr. Butler, please click on the following link to find a COVID-19 testing site near you: https://coronavirus.maryland.gov/pages/symptoms-testing. COVID-19 testing is not currently available at the Loch Raven VA Medical Center.

Children under 12 are not permitted in VA Maryland Health Maryland Health Care System facilities. Please note that there are specific COVID-19 visitor restrictions in place for all hospice and nursing home care units. Ms. Holley, What do you need to fax and who are you trying to reach? I am asking because we are an integrated health care system with numerous locations. Thank you. VA Maryland Health Care System
Ms. Kouadio, While many Veterans qualify for cost-free health care services based on VA service-connected conditions or other qualifying factors, most Veterans are required to complete a financial assessment at the time of enrollment to determine if they qualify for free health care services. Veterans whose gross household income exceeds the VA income limits may be required to pay a copay for health care services. Please note that VA health care is not an insurance plan. The VA does recommend that Veterans keep any health insurance they have even if they are eligible for VA health care because it will provide options and flexibility in the future. To apply for VA health care, call 877-222-8387 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. or visit www.va.gov and click on "Apply for VA health care." Thank you. VA Maryland Health Care System
Ms. Norton, I would highly recommend the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. It is run by the state, but the VA pays a portion of the cost for every veteran at Charlotte Hall. You can reach them at (301) 884-8171. Here is a link to their website: https://www.charhall.org/. You can also call the VA Help for Homeless Veterans Hotline at (877) 424-3838. Thank you.
