Family friendly beach with a wonderful walking trail next to some incredible shops and restaurants. It almost reminds me of Seaport Village in San Diego except there's no Navy Vessels and a downtown skyline. I really enjoyed my walk and next time I will visit the pier. The homes sitting off the beach are spectacular and luxurious. There's also a town square look that resembles something out of a movie. The whole entire peninsula is very clean and walkable and if you're a fan of wonderful yachts, there are plenty. Enjoy Newport Beach when visiting The OC.

Beautiful beach!!. I think if we had went on a sunny day it would have been more beautiful! I loved it their the waves were big so be careful with your little ones. They do have parking but you gotta pay the closet one to the beach is 2.89 for each hour. So it depends how long you will be their. The beach does get a little crowded so try and get their early.

The beautiful beach here is highlighted by the mix of restaurants, shops and seaside inn’s! I like to take my groups here, where they’re able to bask in the sun on the sand, go for a swim, shower off, get something to eat, walk the beachfront and pier and do some souvenir shopping. There’s even surfboard and bodyboard rentals for those who wish to ride the waves! There’s public restrooms at the waterfront, tho may not be private enough for some to change clothes, as the men’s room toilet stalls lacked doors, and the floor was messy. All this is central around the foot of the Newport Beach Pier, accessible via W Balboa Blvd and 21st Place. There’s lot’s of sand and space on the beach, although parking is hit and miss on busy days, with a difficult gridlock at times. It’s possible to avoid the jams by arriving early before these potentially crowded times, if not then I’d just drop off the group and park along the street or the less crowded lots, a few blocks down.

Beautiful beach with clean sand ⛱ We love to come here and play on weekdays so less traffic. There are many nice restaurants around and parking is no problem.

YES. The children's PLAY Area is further down Balboa Blvd. Behind the Elementary school. There is a climbing frame, a grassy area & a tarmac area for playing ball games; soccer, basketball etc.
So Cal beaches are tested on a regular basis. I think you can find the results on Surfrider Foundation web site. Or just Google it.
NO DOGS ALLOWED on the PIER. NO DOGS ALLOWED on the BEACH. ALL DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH, at all times, in this beachside area. Remember also, you cannot leave your pets in your vehicle. Re; city codes of Newport Beach. There are city notices of citable offences at the beaches & piers. Just because you have Seen dogs on the beach doesn't mean they are allowed On the beach.
YES There is. You have to pay for parking. You need your vehicle license # and a credit card to pay at the pay station. The parking areas are numbered. You can also access pay parking on your cell phone.
Beaches are closed / off limits at night for safety reasons. Usually CLOSED 10pm to 6am.
