This DHA location is so friendly and always courteous. We adopted Apollo now named the Gray Ghost. This cat is the most loving cat I've owned. Kimberly helped me adopt him in about an hour. We brought him home and he immediately took to my 2 small dogs. Ghost was the perfect match. Thank you Kimberly for all your hard work.

Hi Sandy, Thank you for reaching out. We are closely monitoring the situation in Virginia, as heartbreaking as it is. If DHA is able to receive any of the rescued dogs, we will be sure to announce it on our website and social media channels. We appreciate your compassion!
Hi Karen, We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Mia. We get all different size dogs in our shelter, including the occasional small dog. We recommend filling out an online application to specify what type of dog you're looking for: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DHA/Dog. We can keep you on file if a dog comes in that meets that criteria. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to give our Rehoboth Beach Adoption Center a ring at (302) 200-7159.
