This post office is the worse. The letter carrier is too lazy to deliver the package to my door and also they lied about attempting to deliver a package by stating they left a notice but no one was home. I was home at the exact time they claimed they tried to deliver. I sent FOUR emails to customer service and no one has responded. I am going to file a claim because I am going to believe that they misplaced all four of my packages, stole or threw them away since no one is being forthcoming regarding the location of my packages. I will definitely be using UPS from now on. Paying the extra is worth it. Please don't depend on the people at this location to be honest regarding delivering your packages. Update as of Jan. 31 2019 they are still using the same lie when they are short staff or running late with the mail: Thursday, January 31 5:23 PM Carrier is unable to gain access to front door to deliver the package. Please contact the carrier to resolve Jessup, MD 5:23 PM Delivery attempted Jessup, MD US This is an outright lie and don't feel I should have to contact the carrier because I live on the ground floor and the mailboxes are right next to me. The sidewalks were clear of ice and snow and UPS was able to deliver a package the exact same day so their lie makes it worse. I would rather they leave a message stating they apologize for the inconvenience and inform the customer that they will be making another attempt or give them the option of picking their package up. This is ridiculous!

I purchased 2 money orders and mailed them from this location. USPS ‘lost’ the envelope. Tracking on the envelope has not been updated in over 38 days. The first lady at this location told me the post office was not responsible and I would need to address the lost money orders with my bank. Which doesn’t make sense. Fast forward 1 month, I ask someone different and she gives me a form to fill out and informs me I have to pay $10 (each) for the post office to investigate why they lost my mail and find out what happened to my money orders. I come back with the form, prepared to pay the fee and then am told I need the receipt from the original money orders. Which is fine, I have them. But why would you not tell me that when I asked for the form and explained the situation?!? So the first young lady lied about my options to find the money orders and the second failed to provide all the information necessary for me to complete the form. The amount of back and forth with every employee at this location is ridiculous. The answer should have been straight forward. I could have initiated this process a month ago.

Two things and one is a repeat complaint. 1st- I requested a hold on my mail until I returned; that was not properly handled. When I returned the mail was not in my box. I went to the Jessup site and was told that I did not have mail on hold. The next day my box was filled with some of my hold mail; not all. 2nd- this is the repeater; our mail carrier does not sort and deliver mail accurately; often times my neighbors and I become unpaid mail carriers and redeliver the mail...if it is not destroyed or tossed. We demand a mail carrier of integrity. Federal offense is real!
