Not much of a park and the bathrooms were locked.

BLUF: I do not recommend. Disappointing. The park is VERY small and geared toward toddlers. The parking lot is also VERY small. It has 3 spaces for compact cars, 1 for handicapped vehicles, and 1 space for other vehicles. It has a few educational signs about dinosaurs and how the site came to be. The park is nestled in a business district with signs in the parking lots of these businesses stating " No Parking for Dinosaur Park". LoL My kids were very sad to see the size and also realize the dirt piles are closed except for specific Saturdays when the excavation program is held. In terms of letting your child run around to get their energy out, I do not recommend this park.

Staff was knowledgeable. The kids had fun playing and also looking for fossils.

I doubt it, it's not really that big, and there's a lot of roped off areas.
I haven't seen an overwhelming crowd, but it's usually busy. A few weeks ago a family was having a birthday party in the playground so it seemed busier than usual. You usually have to wait outside the gate and they let groups in every 20 minutes or so for orientation. I'd assume they use that for crowd control, too.
It's free. But it's only open the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.
