This area is close to home. Provides a nice paved pathway to walk/bike on. Very popular with cyclers, so watch out! You can walk to the Grain Craft Beer place easily.

It depends on where you are going. From this parking lot it is about 15k to and back from Chesapeake City. It is 15k to the river in Delaware City. So whole trail (from Del city to Chesapeake city) is about 45k or like 28 miles round trip. It is a good hike, I think it took me 8 hours to walk from Del city to summit Bridge and back in the late fall.
I can't say if the lot is 24 hours or not, but I'd guess it's like all state parks and closes at dark.
