I absolutely love Dr Balu, she has by far been one of the absolute best doctors I've ever seen she has a heart of gold and a soul filled with compassion. She "took me in" purely on trust and blind faith and I've been going to her now for about 5 or 6 years. She is a treasure 💜

Dr. Balu is very pleasant and takes the time to listen and observe her patients. Dr. Balu doesn't just listen to you she actually hears you and takes a professional evaluation of your issues. She actually cares about you and your home life 😉💯 I'm very pleased to have her as my care provider.

Starting out she was one of the best I had seen since I have been seeing a psychiatrist. But as time past I notice I wasn't getting the same time and dedication as some of her long term patients (one's she already knew for years and had history with). I expressed this to her and simply wanted her to treat me the same way. She is extremely overworked, focuses on what she wants and needs to retire. Once I calmly expressed to her that I felt as if she was not treating me the same and her long term patients she had a connection to....... She dropped me as a patient. Then only gave me medication to last 2months knowing how difficult it is to find a new therapist and psychiatrist and be seen before that time is up. Prior to her dropping me I had spend almost a month trying to get my medications from her. Not just my self but my mental healthcare coordinator and my therapist. I literally had to leave home and go to her office to get my prescriptions after over 3weeks of her telling everyone she had sent them to the pharmacy.

Anyone else confused about the sudden need to decrease benzodiazepines? I really am scared bc theyre the only medication that helps, or atleast makes daily life less intense.

I sure hope not because i am the same age as you and my doctor already cut me down and it's negatively affecting my life physically and mentally and financially. Best doctors are cutting but they cut way too fast and people die there's a waiting list the problem is doctor shopping is it illegal it shouldn't be because you should be able to pick the doctor you want to help you. Someone that cares someone that helps stabilize you to be healthy. Unfortunately the government has kind of screwed up things
