My main flat top acoustic guitar, a custom made 2005 David Flammang L-40, has needed fret work for over 2 years, but you know how that goes: You don't want to be without it for more than a few days, right?? I happened upon Mike Christian's Long Island Guitar Repair via a Google search, although I've long been aware of Mike's work with acoustic pickups, etc. After reading his web site copy, looking at pictures, etc. I decided to give him a try, and it turned out to be a good choice. I ordered the Dunlop Jumbo 6100 wire pack from Amazon, Mike called when he received his fret tang nipper, and we made an appointment. The partial refret (first 8 frets) on my Flammang is virtually invisible, except that I have the old frets as proof. No chip-out, ends beveled like the existing frets, etc. Clean work, yes, but I was only without my guitar for 4 days! Very clean work, great communication & understanding of what was expected, and a fair price. Highly recommended. Howard Emerson Huntington Station, NY howardemerson.com

Mike is friendly, professional, and obviously expert at his craft. He found a major problem with my Maton guitar within minutes of giving it a once over. Mike answered the phone when I first called, figured out what I needed, gave me a reasonable quote, did the repairs and restrung my guitar as promised and on time. I will be calling Mike for any of my future guitar needs.

Best set up on my vintage Tokai - brought it to perfection - it sings again! Mike is obviously a prodigy at working on guitars. Very cool. Will be coming back.

I initially brought one of my guitars to a person who did an excellent job, however he relocated Florida recently. While researching for another person, i came upon Mike's website and read the numerous reviews posted. Each review seemed better than the one before. I reached out to Mike and made an appointment for a set up. Mike was friendly, professional and took the time to explain his process, along with the fees (that were quite reasonable). Within a couple of days, i picked up my Fender Telecaster, and it played like nobodies business. I've since had one of my semi hollow electrics set up with the same excellent results. Mike is a true professional and very helpful in providing many tips that come in handy. If you don't need something, Mike will tell you just that, rather than needlessly take you $ for something you don't need. HIs love for the instrument is indicative of the work he puts into each guitar he works on.

I'm sorry Madeline we don't repair keyboards, only fretted instruments. Thanks and good luck.
