Dirtiest room I have ever rented. The carpet had not been vacuumed in what appeared to be months. There was dime and penny on the floor. The toilet needed a secong flush after the last use and had obviously not been cleaned. The top sheet had blood on it. Fortunately, I brought my own pillow and slept fully clothed. The next day they entered my room and tucked in the same bloody sheets. The dime and penny disappeared but still it was not vacummed and the toilet was not cleaned. Never again will I stay at A & A. There is no phone to call the front desk. The room was two blocks away from the office. I was towing a trailer and it was 20 degrees so not walking either.

My motorcycle broke down and I needed a place to spend the night while it got repaired. I walked in the office and the lady said she could give me a room for as long as I needed. Luckily the motorcycle was repaired later that afternoon and her husband was kind enough to give me a ride back to the shop so I could pick it up. Everyone in town was very friendly and helpful in my dilemma. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I had great meals at the restaurant across the street and great conversation with other travelers on the porch. Thanks to everyone for making my traumatic breakdown less stressful.

My dad and I have stayed here twice now for fishing getaways. Great location with easy access to Sardis Lake, Nanih Waiya Lake, and Clayton Lake. It has a large area in the back that makes it easy to turn a boat (or any other trailer) around, as well as a couple of electrical hookups to recharge your batteries. Beds are a little on the hard side and the pillows are a bit thin for me, but it's a mom & pop place in a small town - not the Hyatt.

The A&A is THE place to stay when you're in Clayton. Atmosphere is always very good with a friendly crowd. If you're looking for a quiet place where you can go to bed early the A&A is not for you. If you want a great place to socialize late into the night then you'll love it. Greg takes great care of his guests and on special occasions he brings out his unbelievable BBQ brisket, beans etc. Very tasty!
