Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Of all the Orthodox churches in Jacksonville, I drive 45 minutes to St. Alexis. It's the only one where, as an English speaker, I have felt comfortable.

Thank you for getting in touch with us here at St. Alexis Orthodox Mission! We celebrate Divine Liturgy at every Sunday morning service, the highlight of which is serving the Sacrament of the Eucharist to the faithful. Holy Communion is served to members of the Orthodox faithful who have prepared themselves to receive the Holy Mysteries with appropriate fasting and confession. Guests who attend will be offered a blessing if they stand in line and/or be offered Antidoron-- blessed bread-- not to be confused with the consecrated gifts, but offered in love and respect. It would be an honor to have you visit. More questions? Feel free to visit and talk with our Priest following the service.
