I went to this church before I got saved a few times. I grew up muslim but never understood the gospel. I was attending church because I was interested in christianity and wanted to learn about Jesus. Everytime I went to this church I would break out in tears, I never understood why though. The Holy Spirit was tugging on my heart and drawing me towards the people of God. I spoke with many people at this church. I expressed interest in learning about Jesus, I wanted to understand what this new religion was all about. Unfortunately, no one at this church was able to explain the gospel clearly to me. Most of the time people would simply pat me on the back and say, "hey, God will get you through this." But they never bothered to explain who God is and what I need to do to get saved. I did an alter call at one point. I was told to recite a sinners prayer and ask Jesus into my heart, but no one explained to me what it really meant to follow Christ. The "gospel" that is preached here is very watered down, and they allow women to be pastors which is unbiblical. I am very disappointed in this church's inability to lead to salvation someone who was knocking on their door begging for the gospel. God did end up saving me by revealing himself to me, but this church was no help. It's all about atmosphere, experience, and feeling. There is no conviction of the spirit, and repentance is brushed over. We need to be holy and zealous for God. Wake up Church! Or else God will come and remove your lamp stand...
