My experience with the Business Service office was very unpleasant. My old employer had applied for me to become a notary but I left the company and 4 years later I need to become a notary again for my current job. Called the office and spoke to a representative and she told me I need to do an address change as my old employer information was listed on file. I've completed that request and did not hear from them for awhile. I called in today to get an update and received the purest rude service ever. "We emailed everything to you" in such pure nasty attitude. How do the Business Service office have no sense of customer service? It's obvious no one understands their process so that is why I called and ask. Given my situation, I was now told I need to submit another form for an Email Address change which now will take another 4-6 weeks to process. How was I supposed to know the process and why didn't the first representative explained to me I need to also completed an email address change when she knew I explained to her that I don't work for my old employer anymore. I'm honestly not upset about the processing time but rather the rude service I received today. The Business Service office will need to go over how to present basic etiquette customer service. Even when I tried explaining the situation to each representative I talked, one of them states "you're the one that signed the application." Indeed I signed the application... but that was over 4 years ago. The process was not explained and she was just pure rude and did not deliver the best customer service at all. It's very upsetting to received this kind of attitude and service from The Arizona Secretary of State office. It's saddens me that I have to continue to my notary service/renewal with an office that cannot deliver an ounce of basic customer service. Very disappointed Ms. Katie Hobbs. Please check the staff of the office and educate them on how to deliver customer service.

They got some nice people and some rude people who answer the phone. I called to check the status of my application and was told it take 4-6 weeks. Well duh, that wasn't my question though. Last time I called, the lady was able to tell me it was received but not reviewed yet. All I wanted to know was if my application was reviewed just yet. If you didn't want to do your job today then you should've stayed home. A simple easy request.... rude outcome.

Very Rude, Paused the phone Multiple times when asked direct questions. Seem to get flustered and keeps referring you back to the notary manuel when I was asking clarification about pricing and verbiage in the maunal. Kept saying "I cant tell you how to run your business talk to a lawyer." One I never asked you about how to run my business. I only asked is this fee reimbursable like the mileage. If not ok, because this vendor is providing misinformation and need to be removed from the vendor list. But you cant get you full thought or sentence out because of the deaf tone Representative that has no interpersonal skills or basic comprehension skills to listen to understand rather than listen to respond.

In order to get an Apostille on a document, you must first complete the "Apostille/Certificate of Authentication Request" located here https://azsos.gov/sites/default/files/BSD_Apostille_Request_20190107.pdf.  The document must be submitted along with the completed request and a $3.00 payment for each document.  You must provide a self addressed stamped envelope (Fed Ex is best) for us to return the Apostilled documents to you.  For additional information, please read the "Filing Tips" located here https://azsos.gov/services/authentication-and-apostille.
