Dearborn Rest Area Northbound

When traveling we rarely stop at rest areas but we had a bathroom emergency and this was the closest place to pull over at. The bathrooms were clean and well-tended to (they were actually cleaned by staff right after we used them). There is a small area with vending machines and several coveted picnic tables. There is an unfenced area for pets. Cars and trucks park on opposite sides of the building.

This is one of the best rest places I have stopped at and was able to sleep and not be bothered whatsoever, let alone need to worry about anything that was going on around me. The place was cleaned every morning bright and early. Staff was polite and nice... , there are vending machines available for snacks if you wake up parched or aching w a sweet tooth. You are on two different sides than the truckers. The bathrooms stayed cleaned all night long. And you are free to go whenever you please. Nobody's keeping track of when you come and go so you can leave whenever you need. No cops or troopers even coming by. I stayed for a couple nights when I was in between places. I would do it again too.

Nice place to sleep in your car. Mens bathroom is clean. Good place to walk your poodle too.

Simple and well maintained rest area. Plenty of covered picnic tables and a few shade trees. Clean bathrooms that appear to be well maintained. Designated Pet area (not fenced). RV friendly. Small vending area. Marked as handicap accessible, but the doors don’t open automatically.
