Comparing to Valley Hospital Aurora Behavioral health is better! Kept us busy so the time goes quicker, more smoke breaks than Valley Hospital, cleaner units, better food! Just better all the way around! But I’m still clean despite Valley Hospitals mistakes upon discharge!

Zero stars. Stay away from this place!! My son is getting released today, (supposed to be tomorrow) but he couldn't take it anymore. They had him talk to his doctor who agreed to release him a day early but the nurse, Laura, insisted he sign an AMA form even though the doctor agreed to his release. I had spoken to Laura earlier in the day and she has not even had the conversation she agreed to have with my son. I tried calling the 480 number listed in all the other complaints but of course it is not in service. If you need help, avoid Aurora. Changing to 1 star after a weekend of failures by staff at this location. My son was self admitted and supposed to be able to sign himself out whenever he chose. When he told staff he wants to sign himself out tomorrow they told him he can't and the will testify against him to keep h there! Staff failed to take his and others vitals today and several have reported missing items. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. As a matter of fact, some staff have told my son of he ever needs help once he is out not to come back there. What kind of place is this? You are supposed to be helping people, not threatening them!! Update: Raised from 2 stars to 4. My son has informed me a supervisor saw this review and sat down with him to go over the issues he was having. He said they told him they would correct what went wrong and also provided him extra resources he was asking about. Will update again once he lets us know if things continue in the right direction. Thank you to the supervisor for quick action. Original review: My son has been at this location for only 2 days and says he is worse for being there. He has blood pressure medicine assigned by his PCP to take once a day but staff here are telling him to take it twice a day because "it's scheduled". This is dangerous!! His 4 digit code assigned so we can see him and drop off books or whatever was not in system correctly so he had to get a new number today. He missed 2 therapy sessions yesterday because they left him in an overflow room. How is he supposed to get the help he needs if they are not getting him where he needs to be? He told us in his latest call that staff seems to not care, especially at night. When he first called to see about going here he was made to feel comfortable and like he would be getting help to get better. After less than 48 hours he feels worse and has seen staff blow him off.

Yes they do
They allow things like shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash, as long as there’s no alcohol. You can take pajamas, as long as they’re not revealing or have inappropriate messages. No jewelry. No makeup. They’ll confiscate your phone. You can take your journal as long as there’s no wire that you can cut yourself with.
Yes. They do it at both hospitals.
They are limited to 2 days a week and you better have their PIN number
The out patient treatment program gives you the tools you need to begin the healing process. You have to actively participate to gain a different perspective...
Africa.
Yes they take AHCCCS and it’s 3-7 days
They told yes 24 hours a day
They bring horses for animal therapy on specific days but the horses are not housed at the facility.
Nope
Hi Brian, thanks for reaching out. The cost of our inpatient and outpatient programs are largely influenced by a patient's individual insurance carrier benefits and coverage in regards to out of pocket costs for treatment. We are in-network with most major health insurance plans as well as most Medicaid and Medicare plans for both inpatient and outpatient programming. If you have any questions about our inpatient, partial-hospitalization, or intensive outpatient programs, please feel free to give us a call 24/7 at 480.345.5420!
Thank you for your question, we do have designated smoking times for adults at our Glendale location. For more info, please see our website: https://www.auroraarizona.com/about/arizona-faqs
They will detox you, them let you go with housing options. They really don't care if you get well or not. Go to a place specialized for that. It isn't Aurora.
Clothing for a few days. That's it.
I honestly couldn't tell you that answer I would call and ask, but I couldn't see why not!
Yes if you both need help they will take you both

Unless he has a release of information or has signed saying you may have his medical info, they won't even confirm he's a patient.
