I had a very disappointing experience today (7/29/22) at black bear. I came in today around 12:15 with a two year old. We were hungry and ready to eat. We got seated pretty quickly but our server didn’t greet us for at least 15 minutes. Every once in a while he would come by and say he would be with us shortly. When he finally did come over I asked him what the soup of the day was. He said he didn’t know and would go ask. He left to go ask, and literally never came back. While waiting another 15-20 minutes with a toddler, I saw the server help several other tables and he even went to the front to talk to the hostess. He said he would come back yet again, but didn’t. I was with a hungry toddler who wasn’t even given a drink while waiting 30-45 minutes. So we had to go. Once we started to leave we then got the servers full attention. The server explained to me that you’re understaffed, which I have some sympathy for because I know it’s rough. However waiting 30-45 minutes for an answer to a question was ridiculous, especially when I saw other tables being helped. When he saw us leaving he was very apologetic and gave the toddler a drink. I don’t want to get anyone in trouble but I think some training on time management and communication could be helpful. Overall I’m very frustrated and not sure if I’ll return to this location. I’ve been to other locations and had great experiences though. Too bad Sandy isn’t one of them.

Parking was close to the door, the lobby was clean the restrooms were clean. Friendly staff and good food. It is wheelchair accessible if needed.

Friendly, really affordable, fast, and most importantly, delicious! I am celiac and they were able to accommodate me. Look how much FOOD! I got the vegetarian omelet with Avacado and coffee. Recommend 🤜🤛!!!

Carter wolf is an exceptional young man. He went above and beyond to make our experience great. His service was fast and excellent. We will request to sit in his section from here out. He really does make the experience very enjoyable.
