I had the chance to work with Mr. Michael Perry for a civil law suit, and he was able to get the case dismissed! Thank you Dessaules Law Group for your expertise and your assistance in handling my case effectively and efficiently!! Mr. Perry did an awesome job with keeping me thoroughly up to date on everything and always asking for my input, it’s been a pleasure :)

We generally work on an hourly basis and our lawyers’ rates range from$200-$375 per hour. We’d also want to get a better idea of the facts because there may be a basis for recovering some, or possibly all, fees if a lawsuit is filed. Please feel free to contact our office to set up a time to talk.
If you have a life estate, you are the owner and, absent some explicit prohibition in the CC&Rs or bylaws, should have all rights of ownership, including the right to serve on the board. As far as whether the trustee has the right to serve on the board where the homeowner has passed away, that depend on the type of trust and additional facts would be needed. If your question assumes you are both the life estate holder and, at the same time, the trustee of the person to whom the property reverts upon your death, you generally should have the right to serve on the board (again, absent some explicit prohibition in the CC&Rs or bylaws). Life estates are difficult concepts for HOAs to understand. They assume you are a tenant, but you're clearly not. You're the owner.
