I recently purchased a Celestron AVX 8-inch scope. Due to supply/logistic problems, it took a long time for the scope to arrive. For me, it's a 2-hour drive to their facility and well worth the trip. I did not want them to ship it since I enjoy speaking with them to get tips on a variety of astronomy subjects. Skies Unlimited is not just a telescope store. Since repairing my 8 inch dobs about a year ago, they have become my partner in the hobby. They have provided sound advice on a variety of topics. Though their store looks small, they manage to carry just about everything someone needs to move forward in the hobby. So, I popped up in this store way back in September 2021, looking to buy a telescope that was going for $2500. I was told that they didn't have any inventory nor did they know when they might. They offered to put me on the call list for when they get some My name and number was put on this list, number 12 or 13 I believe. Fast forward to May 2022 and I have yet to hear from them about the scope. Guess they didn't want my business. No longer on the market for a telescope so I guess we are both SOL in this situation

Purchased a used eyepiece. Lots of selections. Dealt with Ted who is a great individual & very knowledgeable. I will always check on used or demo Astro equipment in the future!

Ordered a visual back from them for my telescope. Product arrived and was correct however the shipping was criminally overpriced. I figured the price quoted was an estimate and they would put the final price when the item was packed. Nope. Charged me $20.78 for shipping a 4" long, fraction of a pound part.

Face masks are required to enter the store. Employees wear face masks when interacting with customers on the showroom flor.
We do not as of today (June 7, 2019) but this changes weekly. We can easily set one up for you when you come in, giving you the added benefit of seeing how it gets put together.
You'd probably want to call the store to ask this question to get their advice.
