Very clean amenities. The beach leaves something to be desired, very rocky for the most part. Must have water shoes. Very fun time rock hunting. The kids had a great time. They have quite a few trails there. Mosquitos were almost non existent. Showers, could use a vent and a mirror, but again everything was extremely clean. They clean the bathrooms twice a day. Fire pits are cemented in, and depending on when the wind blows a certain way, you can for sure smell the dump station. I don't think it's a deal breaker, just the site location I suppose. But I will return, and would fully recommend this place to anyone! Great experience!

Only a two day/ night trip but first time checking out this state park...on lake Huron super rocky swimming shore definitely need water shoes or mucks here depending time of year. Rockhounding was nice ...30amp pull thru north side of campground no trees really not sure I'd like how close they are together had they been full but we went mid week so some open spots were available. Clean well maintained and nice bathrooms hot showers but restroom floor very slippery beware. Cabins for rent on lakeshore look nice and park has coffee in the morning, a small park store, ice and firewood. π

Wonderful state park we like to make our madian voyage to with our camper every year. Water/electric hook up. No sewage hook up, you have to use dumo site. Employees: GREAT! Friendly and professional. Environment: well kept. Campers are the kindest people I've ever encountered. Offers: a park, showers/restrooms, mini-store, beach(it's full of a lot of rocks though)

One of our favorite places to Camp with the family. π¨ Don't forget your water shoes! π¨ The Campground store is stocked with necessities plus ice cream ππ¦. Other highlights of the campground: playground, horseshoe pits and updated bathrooms. A couple of short trail options take you right to beautiful beach on Lake Huron. Great shallow swimming but VERY VERY rocky **don't forget your water shoes**! Slight downside for us...terrible reception (1 bar on Verizon). Just North of Port Huron, means close to lots of shopping and restaurant but really, this Park has it all!

Ok ty it was we went
Yesthey tell you what camp sites are ready and you can go look at them and pick what one you want
I would say yes. Good for any type of camping :)
Yes
Hey Bob. If your talking about up in Lexington harbor then I can tell you pretty good right now. With this heat early morning or later at sunset is best. Many species . Bass hitting, gills ,perch.Goid luck Bob. FISH ON!π
$30 for a 30 amp site, $34 for a 50 amp site. All of the South campground is 50 amps and a few select sites are 50 amps in the North campground. All sites have the electric and are charged as if you were using it!
It is 50 for the minis that are NOT waterfront. 86 for the larger lakefront one with the nice deck. I didnt care for the section of the park with the minis, too far from the store and beach. We preferred the second loop with the store and better water access. :")
All you need is an annual State Park pass.
We camped in a tent and i used an extension cord to the screen tent. So yes...you can.
There is Not a Boat Launch at Lake Port State Park. You can launch a small craft, like a kayak or small sail boat from the beach, but you would have to carry it down there.
$52 They can be booked one year in advance.
No. The main beach is clearly marked, No Pets. However, entirely on you, many walk the trails a bit south of the main beach and walk their pets on those, less populated beaches.
I dont believe so. They do however have a big concrete firepit about a foot, a foot and half deep and pretty good circumference. You could just bring grill grates or whatever they are called. That's what we did and everything turned out perfect. But to answer, I dont think there is grills stationary at the campgrounds
Yes. Trump and park on the lake side. If it is full, you can park across the road and use the bridge.
Nope none at the site. The little store sells a grill to fit the campfire pit though.
Yes. They are open. We camped there this past week.
Yup.
No. There's a porta potty in the South campground though
Yes, i believe so! However there are local communities that have fireworks displays to attend also. Check schedules!
Yes they sell bundled firewood at the camp store. There camp store is in the North campground loop so if you camp in the South loop you may want to drive to it. They also have a wagon you can use to carry the wood if you want to walk
Yes
Yes quite a few
Can you bring a dog on a leash to this beach or camp area?
Well it's still a little chilly but not to bad
There is a designated area, but i usually just go down the far ends of the beach to where im sure im not bothering anybody
There's a free county park north of there. Fort Gratiot
No there's a 15 deemed a maximum limit and then you have to move but I don't know if you can stay for another 15 days on a different site
I don't know the official answer but the camp host told us somewhere in the middle of October.
Yes, Sanilac Rocks on Facebook. :)
Lexington Harbor. No launch at the county park that I'm aware of and I camp there regularly.
