If you are going to take your child to WCU or visit in the area there are only 3 hilton hotels close to the college. I have stayed at 2 and if i had to chose i would pick this one. The staff were extremely nice, rooms were clean and the morning breakfast did look like last weeks breakfast.

If there was a zero star I would put that. We are very disappointed in Hampton Inn. We made a reservation using their online reservation system. It was very easy however what I didn't realize is that the reservation had a hidden cancelation policy saying you had to cancel a week in advance. There was no obvious warning that there were stipulations to cancelling the reservation. We eventually had to cancel due to the event we were going to getting cancelled. Unfortunately we cancelled within 1 week of our 1 night reservation. I called the hotel multiple times to talk to the manager - Mary Landy (sp?). She never returned any of my voicemail messages. We won't stay at a Hampton Inn again. Added after reading the hotels response: 1) we had no idea we booked through a third party and if you are doing business with this third party you should make sure that they are clearly stating up front the cancellation policy. Its been my experience in the past that hotels make it very clear if there is any type of cancellation policy. 2) again I called the hotel manager multiple times and always got her voicemail. She never returned my call. No one from the hotel ever spoke to me. 3) I did correspond with the third party and they put me through a lengthy dispute process. They told me that they went to the hotel and asked if they would waive the hotel charges but were told that no the hotel would not waive the hotel fee. So the third party would have waived the fee if the hotel agreed - but they didn't 4) very poor customer service by the hotel

The Sapphire Valley Hampton was a delight. Clean & Neat and Welcoming. Keep in mind this Hampton does not have cellular service (which is a GOOD THING for us). The Hot Tub was out of service during our visit, however, it should be repaired by the time you get there.

After a not-so-great stay at a Hampton Inn in Charlotte, NC about 5 months ago, Cashiers-Sapphire Valley renewed my faith in Hampton Inn. Husband and I were there for a quick getaway. Jacuzzi suite room was very nice. Just what we were looking for. Would recommend to others and stay again. Carpeting could use some updating (deep cleaning or replacing) but overall very nice.

It's pretty secluded, only a wendy's and subway about 10 mins away. It's up in the mountains

It has both a heated pool and hottub. However, when we stayed in January, the hot tub was out of order.
