Joseph O'Kefe is by far, the most personable and down to earth REAL attorney I've ever had the pleasure to speak with. Do not hesitate to consult with him if you are a injured worker.

The very best attorney and firm for all your needs. They stand by their clients and never give up. I first thought my case would never get results. Attorney Leah Cole never stopped fighting. Even after years past she felt my concerns, sufferings, reassured me, and only she got results no one else could. While most attorneys would have thrown in the towel Leah Cole never did. I love this firm. I thank Leah Cole and my kids thank Attorney Leah Cole. When you need the best put your faith in Leah Cole and Law Office Cole, Fisher, Cole & O’Keege and Mahoney.

Should I engage an attorney before selecting my QME (qualified medical examiner)?

Yes. Consulting with an attorney may help you avoid some common, but serious, risks and mistakes in the workers' compensation and QME process. If you’re injured at work, you will be asked to be evaluated by a Qualified Medical Examiner (QME). A QME, is a physician who is specially qualified to provide medical-legal evaluations of a worker's job-related injuries. Your choice of physician can greatly affect the benefits you receive. Contact one of our experienced workers' comp. attorneys for assistance in choosing a QME who will get you the compensation you deserve.

Why do you NOT return phone calls and follow up with a client when you are still the Atty for the life time medical portion?

I believe it was the person that was under my attorney. I left many messages because it always went to this persons voice mail. The few times I was able to speak to a live person I was helped. I even called once from the hospital before I was having surgery and no answer. Sorry that it reflected so badly on the attorney

Do you handle OWCP?

No, we don't. Because these claims are not subject to the authority of the California Worker’s Compensation Appeals Board, our firm does not handle these matters. We are not aware of any firms in Central California that do. However, there are some firms in Los Angeles, the Bay area, and San Diego who handle claims of this nature. The Office of Workers Compensation Programs (OWCP) is a Federal agency of the US Department of Labor, which administers a variety of Worker’s Compensation programs for employees of the federal government. These include, but are not limited to: postal workers, employees of the IRS, some civilians working on military bases, etc.
