The best time to buy is now! The longer you wait the longer you will fall behind the ball. If you don’t have a contractor or are not handy, it’s best to purchase a property that doesn't need much work. However, often you can get a better value on a fixer upper if you have a trusted contractor or are handy. By the time it’s fixed up, there should be built in equity. It should be with more than what you paid and put into it when you are finished with it.
It's always a great time to purchase a home, as long as you are going to be in that home 5/7/10 years. Even if the market goes down for a few years, it will come back. Historically over time, real estate always goes up
First thing is to ask a friend for a good, experienced realtor that helps buyers. Then ask the realtor who their preferred mortgage company is to get qualified for a mortgage and find out how much cash you will need for down payment and closing costs, how much your mortgage will be, and what you can afford.

You need to do low cost, high impact things to improve the home and create emotional appeal
