My mother is very attached to my small dog. I was allowed to bring her in for visits pre-COVID. I was told recently, by the activities director, that it was too much paperwork to allow her in to visit my mother, although the main desk already has the paperwork. Why deprive a 90 year old something that makes her happy? Note: I contacted Willowbrooke Court at Granite Farms Estate and private pets are allowed. Update: Pets will be allowed in the sunroom. My mother will get to sit in her uncomfortable wheelchair, where the dog has no room to jump up and interact with my mother and will have to stay leashed. This unpleasant visit will require an appointment. The reason my dog can’t visit in the private room, as allowed in other Acts Communities, is because those in semi-private rooms will “feel bad” if they have a roommate who is allergic to dogs. I will attempt to transfer her to Granite Farms where I wanted her to go from the beginning.
