Today was my first time going to Threading Spot, Cumberland RI. I am absolutely AMAZED by the work and personality of Nilima. She did beautiful work to my awful eyebrows & treated me with the most respect. I recommend if you visit this location you make sure to see Nilima, you will leave 100% satisfied and wanting to come back!!!

Everything was fine when I bought a membership for $17.99 per month until I found d that I needed to visit about twice a week as I have some excess facial hair. It seems that the owner Ajay claims to have had trouble running my debit card. He insisted that it was declined or wasn't accepted. I called the bank and they told me that there was no declination from the bank. It seems that this happened after he saw how many times a week I was going for service. Nelima is wonderful and sweet and obviously caught in the middle. I believe Ajay wanted me to pay the additional $10 charge to rejoin and use another card or pay upfront because I had gone there more times than he expected. He didn't even give me the courtesy of calling me to let me know this supposedly happened and it's really out of my way to get there. I believe this is a scam to get more money out of people who go more often than they like. I will never go back.

I wish Google provided either 0 star feature. I usually never write reviews but I'm writing today because of terrible experience at cuberland location. There is a lady named Mona, who never smiles or greets on seeing customers and does a horrible job at threading. Never ever going to this location. I still wonder why the owner still hasn't fired her.

The original owner was incredible and did a great job. Since this place has been bought out under new ownsership it’s gone downhill. The staff is rude, they don’t even attempt to remember your face even if you’ve been there every other week for 4 years, etc. there’s one woman there the majority of the time who is terrible at threading. The thread never even catches the hair... and if you ask her to remove the obviously missed hair she tells you “it’s blonde” or “it’s skin” - lady!!!! I pay for a service, you have one job, remove the hair! Last night I went and tried to be sweet as pie and she did it again and with comments like “anything else” when she’s missed half your face, I’m surprised this chick still has a job. I actually left and went to the Pawtucket location (17 mins away) and explained what happened and the woman was amazing. She redid my entire face and actually removed all of the hair. You can tell by the styles, the woman in Cumberland has zero clue how to thread hair: I gave her several chances; but I’m done! Don’t waste your time. Go to Pawtucket or smith street instead. Another note, the $15 membership increased to $17, with no notice. I asked about it and Cumberland rudely said “prices go up!” Trust me it’s not the $2, it’s the lack of communication which is bad business.
