Retiring does not matter for the Sr exemption and freeze. Your age does. As soon as you turn 65 stop in at the count assessment office to apply/fill out the forms.

Can a homeowner receive both the general tax exemption and the senior tax exemption on their property tax bill in the same year once turning the age of 65?
