Lauralea literally saved me life. It’s hard for me to find people I can trust and feel safe with, and without her I would most likely still be in active addiction, hurting everyone around me, and myself just to get anything I could to hold me over. I’m still working the process but she really listens and helps. She’s not just there to prescribe you medications and leave, she sits with you and genuinely listens and cares, there’s a personal bond that you form and it’s amazing. The program and Lauralea saved my life, I’m finally proud of where I am and just celebrated a year in sobriety. All of the staff sent a card with hand written notes from each, just the fact that they care enough to do little things like that shows they really are amazing. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

Second time with Dr.Keji and again his office exceeded my expectations. It seems to often these days you wonder if your doctor has your best interest and heart and there is no doubt about it when it come to Mr.Oyaso and the rest of the staff at Modern Med. Don't waste your time anywhere else.

Dr. Oyasu IS AWESOME!! I have been to my fair share of addiction doctors. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!! Kenji (Dr.Oyasu) literally saved my life. He REALLY CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS. SOME DOCTORS SAY THEY DO BUT TREAT PATIENTS LIKE A PAYCHECK OR JUST ANOTHER ADDICT.. THIS IS NOT THE CASE HERE. KENJI SAVED MY LIFE. ALL OF THE STAFF IS A+++++ I RECOMMEND MODERN MED RECOVERY TO ANYONE SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING AND STAYING CLEAN. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO!!! I wish there were more doctors out there like Kenji. He mainly uses Suboxone...I don't know if he uses Methadone or not ? But... if you need treatment you absolutely MUST GO SEE HIM. He is loving and caring and I promise is the BEST doctor in this field! You won't regret going... and hes also a decent person to know and he will leave an impression on you that you will never forget. He has a presence about him that is very different than any other person I have ever met.
Dr Oyasu is in network with Blue Cross and Bluie shield however the majority of his patients have an alternative insurance or none at all. The office will request that you provide a service fee at the time of the visit but will give you a super bill to send to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.
Medication Assisted treatment. (MAT) Opiate addiction is an organic BRAIN problem and not a weakness or a moral failure. It merits the same respect and compassion that hypertension or diabetes does. The stigma of addiction is still to this day what keeps patients from seeking treatment. Here at MMR we provided access to 2 out of the 3 options of medication. (BUPRENORPHNE and NALTREXONE)
