I'm living on the street, and went through a lengthy assessment (over the phone). Have waited over three weeks for a follow-up & to get started with some services. It appears I'm being ghosted, merely because I've spent some time in Chicago. Unfortunate, unhelpful, and I'm disappointed in this agency - refusing to help me and not even having the guts to admit it. In the meantime winter is coming and I have near zero options remaining.

SS Pads will help you to find a stationary place for you and your children. They might help with the motel bill, but you will probably have to stay in their shelter for a minute while they find you a place to live. Go to the office at 414 Lincoln Hwy Chicago Heights or to the pads in the city of Chicago.
Service people that live in the Chicago Heights area in Illinois so if you stay around there like Park Forest etc

Yes it's safe for everyone
No just people in the suburbs So Max and Harvey Riverdale Chicago Heights Tinley Park or Orland but it has to be a Cook County they don't help outside of Cook County south suburbs in order to get help from Chicago you have to go to Chicago and call 311 and they will help you get the temporary shelter housing food closed and even help with rental assistance almost any organization can help you with rental assistance long as you have proof of income that's basically all you need the 311 Chicago service light bills in also car ticket when you call 311 end non-emergency police help you can get placed anywhere in Chicago is not just the middle of Chicago it's not just the south side or the North side but it's anywhere they have space in the city it could be West it could be over east
