The food here is real, down home cooking. The staff is friendly and fun to be around. My family and I were in town visiting for the weekend. We had breakfast there our first day there. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day. We did not get to try the lunch menu but breakfast was on point. The desserts are authentically homemade. The owner stopped and had a chat with us while we were there. They do a great job. Best place to eat hands down while in town. Let them know the family from Maryland sent you. We can't wait to go back.

I went here for a quick lunch and was able to special order my meal of liver with bacon and mushrooms. It was very good. I’ve had it there before and I’ll go back for it again. The liver cooked perfectly medium, nice and juicy, not dry like you might get other places. I highly recommend going to My Nanny’s Diner and Deli, especially if you like liver!

Visited here once about 5 years ago and boy has it changed. The Red "Shining" carpet is gone and things are fresh and clean. The menu still has many items that I think are aimed at the Senior crowd ....beef and liver... but there are some other mouthwatering sandwiches (will come later to try breakfast). I opted for the double cheeseburger and it was soooo good. It is nice to get Chips and Coleslaw instead fries as the standard. My friend decided to get the fries for a modest upcharge. The prices are great and still lower than many of the other places that we often go. I know now it is cheaper to eat in a dinner like this gem than it is to go to a fast food restaurant. I asked if I could order online for pick up or delivery and the waitress said that was coming soon. Can't wait.
